Digital Media Factory creates products to feed the expanding demands of the global digital media marketplace. We bypass traditional methods and enter the marketplace directly with live streaming, web cast channels, cable, and video-on-demand methods.

Founded in 2004 by Marty Collins, Ginny Mitchell, and Ned Hern  who each have between 25 and 37 years of experience producing and creating successful, award-winning products in music, television and motion pictures, Digital Media Factory is a unique leading edge digital film and television studio.

Marty Collin’s experience in television and motion pictures informs his leadership of the Digital Media Factory.  He was previously the Vice President of Broadcast Operations at Silicon Valley's KTEH Ch54 Public Television and President/CEO of two studios: Starlite and Darnel Collins Productions, Co-founder and Partner of Mitchell/Collins Productions, Television Broadcast Operations Manager for Hewlett Packard Television and Director of Photography on motion pictures such as Lawnmower Man and Programming the Nation, produced at Digital Media Factory.

Marty joined forces with Ginny Mitchell and her experience as a top 40 artist and music producer, and Ned Hern’s long term legal practice with leading artists, labels, developers, and designers when he had the vision of a digital film and television studio in Santa Cruz.  These three founders are the critical, profit-minded, and innovative leadership of Digital Media Factory.

Their vast experience brings the right business and artistic direction to the Factory vision of a studio lot and entertainment media industry from the scenic location of Santa Cruz. The Factory is the only combined digital media studio and business cluster in Northern California.

Digital Media Factory investors capitalize on local talent and industry right next door to technology Mecca--Silicon Valley.  Our Hollywood studio system is a hybrid of the old and new ways.  Continuing to learn from and with Hollywood, we connect with independent business, local universities, and entrepreneurs to bring real time knowledge to academic theory and business ideas. A triple bottom line philosophy is the driving force to our business.

The Factory provides a unique location, leading edge technology, talent pool and products in demand to the media industry.  Products include feature length films, television series, and educational programs that cover a range of issues from history, sustainability, medicine, to fantasy, sci-fi, animated series, games, live music, and much more.

The global digital media marketplace--education, entertainment, and information products--is projected to grow 6.6 percent annually, attaining a value of roughly $2.2 trillion by 2012. The U.S. share of this market is expected to reach $759 billion. [1] Digital Media Factory and its strategic partners take advantage of new media to access and thrive in this digitized age.

Investors tap into this market by investing in Digital Media Factory.  Diversified options are available by investing in Factory technology, products, or the studio itself.
