Cinemar/Schmoozfest
Serving Santa Cruz County, Monterey and the central coast of California, Cinemar provides a venue both on-line and off for anyone interested in the filmmaking process.
For too long local filmmakers have languished in a sort of limbo with no local venue to meet others who share their love of and desire to make movies, or a film community to support their projects.
Cinemar - Cinema Artists Resource (formerly Santa Cruz Film Coalition) was formed to change all that. The goal of Cinemar is to create a thriving film community in Santa Cruz county by bringing local filmmakers together with the resources they need to produce their work.

Grip Electric Boot Camp
Sometimes the best workshops are the most intensive!!
WHAT IT IS--While all of the workshops at the factory are "intensives", this one is designed to turn attendees into incredible lighting machines.
Grip/Electric Boot Camp is two days of hands-on training in the basics of safe, creative and reliable lighting techniques for film, video and still photography.
Who should attend? Novice grips, electricians, camera operators that need some confidence in their solo skills; producers and directors that need the knowledge to hire and manage grip/electric crews effectively and from an informed perspective. This knowledge will save you time, money and frustration while it makes you a better media maker.
Dates not yet set, but let us know if you are interested and we will keep you on our mailing list.
